Four Canadian Section Fellows have been recognized by CDA Awards.

Fellow Ross Anderson of Halifax received the Distinguished Service Award for his leadership in Pediatric Dentistry at IWK Health Centre and Dalhousie University in Halifax as well as his work on the CDA’s Access to Care Working Group.

Fellow Clive Friedman of London received the Distinguished Service Award for his work in Pediatric Dentistry and on many CDA committees and working groups.  He has volunteered on humanitarian missions in Honduras and Mexico.

Fellow Bruce Ward of Vancouver received the Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to the profession at all levels.  He is a Past President of BCDA, Chair of the Pacific Dental Conference, and director of the Downtown Eastside Dental Clinic in Vancouver, a not-for-profit emergency clinic.

Fellow Toby Gushue of St. John’s, Newfoundland received the CDA Honorary Membership Award in recognition of his distinguished service to the profession throughout his long career.  a Past President of the CDA, Fellow Gushue was involved in the development of CDAnet, CDA Standard Dental Claim form and the USC&LS.  The profession has continued to benefit from these initiatives many years later.
